Pet Rules & Policies

Many of our St. Augustine rentals welcome dogs, and we’re glad to have them. Here’s how it works, plainly, so there are no surprises.

Dogs at our pet-friendly homes. We welcome calm, house-trained dogs at properties marked pet-friendly. We can’t accommodate cats or other animals – that comes down to allergies and the comfort of the guests who come after you. When you book, just let us know about your dog so we can make sure the property is a good fit.

There is always a pet fee, and it’s firm. Every pet-friendly booking includes a pet fee – no exceptions, set per property and shown at booking. Here’s the honest reason: a home that welcomes dogs needs real extra cleaning afterward to stay fresh for the next family, and that work falls to our housekeepers. The fee covers that deep-cleaning. Guests without pets don’t pay it, because they’re not adding to that wear – it’s only fair the cost sits with the pets that create it.

You must disclose your pet. This is the one we’re serious about. If you bring a pet without disclosing it, you’ll be charged the pet fee and may be removed from the property – and we do not offer refunds. An undisclosed dog that ends a reservation means the whole stay is lost. It’s never worth it: book the pet, pay the fee, and enjoy your trip with your dog. Sneaking one in only ends badly for everyone.

Only pet-friendly properties can take pets. If a listing isn’t marked pet-friendly, it can’t accommodate a pet under any circumstances – those homes aren’t set up for it, and the no-pet guests who booked them are counting on that.
